Lewis Hine fue un fotógrafo estadounidense que dedicó su obra a denunciar la dureza de algunos puestos de trabajo y las pésimas condiciones laborales de su época centrándose especialmente en las de los niños. Gracias a sus imágenes, varias leyes fueron cambiadas y otras creadas para mejorar la situación de trabajadores como este niño que perdió el brazo mientras usaba con una cortadora.
